Cinnamon Sugar Whipped Butter

Last year I made butter for the first time. It was such a hit with all three of my boys that I started experimenting with different butter flavors to dress up our bread.

Our favorite by far is this Cinnamon Sugar Butter.

We spread it on banana bread, cinnamon-sugar bread, english muffins, waffles, toast, corn muffins and, my personal favorite, baked sweet potatoes.

This butter makes a great gift too. Last Christmas I made a big batch, divided it into little jars, tied a pretty ribbon and some twine around the lid and gave it to family and friends along with a loaf of homemade bread. Everyone raved about the butter afterwards.

Just in case butter isn't unhealthy enough on its own, why not toss a whole bunch of sugar in there as well? It's worth it... trust me! ;)

{Homemade Cinnamon Sugar Butter}

2 c. heavy whipping cream
6 T. brown sugar
4 t. cinnamon
1 t. salt

In a stand mixer with the whipping blade attached, beat heavy cream for 7 - 10 minutes, starting at a low speed and working your way up to a high speed. Beat until cream is thick enough to retain its shape when blade is removed (pictured above). Add salt, brown sugar and cinnamon. Beat just until combined. Store in refrigerator for up to a week or freezer for up to a month.

{enjoy!}

  1. I had NO idea you made butter this way. At least I’ve never seen it done with my own eyes! How fun :) I’m going to try this soon!
