Happy Homemaker Monday

Mozzarella Pie topped with Arugula, Prosciutto & Parmesan Shavings.

{weather outside:}

After three days of rain, storms, and cooler temperatures, I am SO happy to see the sun in all its shining glory this morning!

{making me happy:}

Sewing. At my husband's insistence, I pulled out my sewing machine yesterday for the first time since my third sweet boy arrived and, goodness, it felt SO good!

{menu:}

monday: Italian Vegetable Soup & Crusty Bread
tuesday: Leftovers
wednesday: Burgers, Sweet Potato Fries & Green Salad
thursday: Grilled Chicken Salad
friday: Baked Tilapia, Brown Rice & Broccoli

{around my home:}

All of my boys are still asleep so I am listening to the hum of the fans in our bedrooms as I sit at the kitchen table watching the rays of sunshine slowly burst into the room making it brighter by the minute. Love early morning sunrises!

{today's to-do list:}

~pre-k: Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons
~2 loads of laundry
~plan menu
~sort baby clothes

{looking forward to:}

Warm and sunny days on the forecast this week.

{on my nightstand:}

The Strong Willed Child by Dr. James Dobson
Rose Harbor in Bloom by Debbie Macomber
On the Banks of Plum Creek by Laura Ingalls Wilder

{in my craft basket:}

Blanket for my soon to arrive nephew.

{lesson learned:}

How humbling it is to be a mother!

{on my mind:}

Gratitude for such a lovely Sunday with my family.

{verse:}

'Brethren, I do not consider that I have made it my own; ut one thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.'
