~ capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~

{pretty}

Is this not the most beautifully adorable necklace you have ever seen? It was hand embroidered by Jenna and purchased through her Etsy shop Call Her Happy. I even got to customize the color combo to make it a perfectly unique birthday gift for my sister. (Not surprisingly, she absolutely loved it just as much as I had anticipated!)

After nap cuddles with my boys.

{funny}

Decided to take the boys peach picking on an afternoon with a the threat of flash flooding. Well, that downpour made its appearance just as we had reached the top of the hill where the peach trees were located. Picture two ridiculous sisters running down a muddy hill with three little boys and all the peaches we could manage to carry in tow. Much funnier after the fact of course. But the fresh peaches were totally worth it!

{real}

One's in the rocking chair, reading, one's in the corner, penancing, and one's in the bedroom, sleeping...  Just a typical morning around here.

  1. Is it wrong that your penitent in the corner made me giggle? So cute! Love the necklace and the peaches!

  2. Beautiful photos. The peaches look divine! Penancing in the corner is a common occurrence in our household, too.

    They take me back to those wonderful days when my babes and I existed in our own sweet little world.
    Your photos tell a lovely story.

  4. I love that beverage tray on your bed -- practical and accessible. Yes, many things are funny, very funny, after the fact. I guess that's life :-)
