~ capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~
{pretty}
I taught my oldest how to draw a flower. This was his first attempt on his own and he gave it to me! :) It is now matted, framed, and sitting on my kitchen counter.
{happy}
My sister brought home a bag of loose vanilla tea leaves for me after her recent trip to Nashville and the entire process from start to finish is just so comforting.
{funny}
My oldest also drew his first portrait of me. Yup, my hair looks just like that! ;)

Arts and crafts clean-up... to vacuum or to sweep?

Linking up with Like Mother Like Daughter today:
ohh--that tea sounds wonderful! And I love the portrait--you must have amazing hair!;)
ReplyDeleteOh, the first drawings are so precious!! I also like the way you said the "whole process" of tea making is comforting. Making a cup of tea is like an art form...and all the accessories are beautiful and gracious aren't they?
ReplyDeleteThat tea looks delicious, and comforting! I love your son's drawing. So precious!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday. :)
Oh how I enjoy the drawings of young children. The flower one is perfect for framing. The one of you...hilarious.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a lovely afternoon and great artwork. That flower is a treasure! So glad you framed it "Mom". ;)
ReplyDeleteThat teas sounds so yummy - and that photo actually looks a lot like me in the morning. Lol
Blessings. xoxo
