~ capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~

{pretty}

Beautiful snow.

{happy}

Perfect impromptu craft/snack for our snow day.

{funny}

It's a good thing my Mother-in-Law brought these kid-size shovels up to my boys in time for the blizzard... I don't know how my husband would have managed to shovel all that snow without their help ;)

{real}

I snapped this photo just after my husband had peeked his head through that side door and announced: "I'm sending them back in!" Note: towel laid out, laundry basket in place, tea kettle boiling... I was ready for those cold, wet boys and their cold, wet gear.

  4. Look at all of that snow - it's looking a lot like my world now. Lol! I remember my kiddos having similar shovels when they were younger. So cute and such good helpers!! ;)

    The towel is what I STILL do to this day. When my kiddos go sledding on our back hill - I have the towel laying out on the floor for them as they come in from the deck. No other way around it!

    I remember Annie telling me once that her favorite part of playing outside and getting all cold - is to come in to a hot drink, like cocoa or cider. It's the simple things, right?
