{pretty}
Our living room, all decorated.
{happy}
I love watching my children gaze at the tree with wonder-filled, sleepy eyes in the early morning. And I love that my oldest is a morning person, just like me, so we get to enjoy the coziness of our Christmas Tree together on the weekends when everyone else is still sound asleep.
{funny}
I found this little nest at Hobby Lobby for less than two dollars and knew my boys would get a kick out of seeing it in our Christmas Tree since they love birds. Well, my two-year-old thinks it's absolutely hilarious! Every time he notices it he says: "Eggs our tree!" And then proceeds to run around the house laughing hysterically.
I'm kind of particular about my Christmas Tree and once we brought ours home this year I realized it was a bit too full for my liking. After struggling to fit all our ornaments and not quite liking the result, I grabbed the heavy-duty scissors and made my own nooks and crannies, exactly where I wanted them! Why hadn't I thought of this sooner!? And now I have a bag full of pine branches to scatter throughout the house for some extra festive cheer.

Oh, I bet your home smells wonderful with all the pine!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of making the nooks and crannies. The picture of your little boy staring at the tree is ethereal. So lovely. I'd love to sit in your living room!!
ReplyDeleteYour "pretty" is truly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love that your little one gets such a kick out of your new bird ornament! It is so the simple pleasures!
ReplyDeleteSuch good tree pictures! I need to get practicing so this can be the year that my Christmas morning photos aren't all completely blurry in the low light of o'dark thirty when my littles inevitably awaken :)
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same exact thing! All of our Christmas morning pictures are awful, hah!
DeleteOh! Your home and tree are lovely!!!! And such beautiful photos!!!! Have a blessed and cozy evening, my friend! : )
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. There is something magical about having all the lights off but the tree. I think I want to keep our tree up forever, but somehow I don't think he'll agree. ;) That photo of your son in front of the tree looks right out of a catalogue.
ReplyDeleteI just love that your son finds the nest hilarious. That cracks ME up. Lol!
Brilliant idea to trim up your tree & now have extra greenery to decorate with it. And have your tree just how you'd like it.
Blessings Sweetie. Xoxo
Awe, I love the birdsnest ornament! So cute! Your home looks so cozy, and magical.
