Anticipation

When it comes to holidays, preparation, for me, is half the fun!

I love anticipating, daydreaming about and looking forward to the big day. Between the Thanksgiving menu, decor, schedule, and, not to mention, outfits, my mind has been aflutter with ideas lately that I do my best to memorize until I have a free hand to write them all down.

The weather today has been gloomy, dark, and cold. All my boys are napping and I am in my element of coziness here at the kitchen table, planning our Thanksgiving Day while sipping a mug of Apricot Tea, listening to classical music, smelling a Spiced Plum candle, and gazing at the soft glow that the foggy day outside is creating through the front bay window in the living room.

We love watching the Macy's Thanksgiving parade a bit on Thanksgiving morning. And another favorite tradition is my hubby and I working on some of the dishes Thanksgiving eve listening to music together while we chop, chat, laugh - sometimes I sip wine. (wink wink)
Can't wait! Blessings for a very blessed Thanksgiving holiday my dear Friend. xoxo

  5. Hello,
I saw your blog link on Afternoon Coffee & Evening Tea.
Oh yes, I too love the preparations for the holiday. I always spend Tuesday cleaning my house and Wednesday Baking. It makes Thanksgiving feel like a 3-day holiday.
    Happy Thanksgiving!
    :) Hope
