~ capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~

{pretty}

Art class inspired by Nancy Tillman's illustrations.

Last round of peach picking for the season.

{funny}

"Mommy, I think my spider is dead."
"Okay then, into the garbage he goes."
"Well, actually, Mommy, he's only a little bit dead."

{real}

I think my baby may be outgrowing his cradle... :(

  1. Those peaches look amazing! Where I live the peach season is over already and the ones in the stores are pretty bad... I'm looking forward to taking my boys peach-picking next year, though, when the oldest should be able to enjoy it. Your cradle is gorgeous too - and so cute with the little guy's arm dangling out :) - Kristina

  2. Oh my goodness - I just love the peeks at those sweet Boys. Makes my uterus (if I still had one) skip a beat. Lol!!

    Looks like some true artists in the works! And I bet you have a few more fun peach recipes up your sleeves to use those, huh? ;)

    The spider comment cracks me up! I always look forward to these posts - just so fun and sweet.
    Blessings to you all. xoxo

  5. I must say, you are a brave and patient mama for keeping pet spiders. And the cradle? I kept my Evie in a bassinet until she started rolling over and pushing up, which was around six months. She barely fit it in by that point, but I loved having her so near, and so portable, for so long. It's always a little sad when they're ready to move into bigger accommodations.

  6. Looks like a fun art class, and those peaches look so yummy. Kudos to you for letting your child keep a pet spider! Wowzers! The baby in the cradle is adorable. The tuft of fuzzy hair is cute too :-)

  7. You're a good mom for letting your kids have a pet spider! I don't know if I could handle it... but then again, I don't really see my girls asking for it either. ;) Love the shot of your little man in the cradle!
